Known for our client-focused approach and exceptional legal representation, we are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The Litigation Paralegal will provide essential support to attorneys by managing the day-to-day operations of litigation cases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of maintaining a high quality of work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to client service.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure timely filings and responses.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring documents are complete and up to date.
- Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses, motions, and correspondence.
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and evidence.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural rules.
- Coordinate and manage discovery, including issuing subpoenas and coordinating depositions.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including creating exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Attend trials as needed to provide on-site support, including note-taking and managing exhibits.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, experts, and witnesses.
- Schedule client meetings, depositions, and mediations.
- Maintain professional and compassionate communication with clients throughout the case lifecycle.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar tools.
- Track billable time and prepare time entries for attorney review.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury law.
- Familiarity with legal filing systems and procedures in CA.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase) and legal research tools.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work under deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with a client-first attitude.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
