Senior Associate Attorney

Career Consulting Partners is running a search for a well-established, nationally ranked general practice firm in Los Angeles County. The firm has a strong litigation practice covering business and commercial disputes, real estate, banking and financial services, employment, and trust and estate litigation. It’s looking for a seasoned litigator who wants caseload variety, a voice in leadership, and to be paid for bringing in business.

The Opportunity

This role is for a litigator who is ready to do more than work files. You’ll take on substantive matters from Partners, help lead case teams, and build your own book with the backing of a full-service firm. The firm’s clients across many practice areas naturally generate new litigation work.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle a broad general civil litigation caseload from intake through trial, working closely with Partners.

• Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and manage discovery.

• Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

• Lead and mentor associates and support staff on case teams.

• Develop new client relationships and bring in new matters.

• Meet a billable expectation of 1,800+ hours.

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of civil litigation experience across a broad range of matters.

• Leadership experience, such as supervising associates, running case teams, or managing matters on your own.

• A track record of, or real interest in, bringing in business.

• Strong writing, advocacy, and client-relationship skills.

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.

• Trial experience is a strong plus.

Compensation:

• Base salary range of $180,000 - $220,000, plus quarterly production bonuses, year-end bonuses for hours billed over 1,800, and commissions on new matters you bring in, with commission rates that increase with seniority.
