Senior Trial Attorney

Career Consulting Partners is working with a boutique civil litigation defense firm in Woodland Hills that is seeking a Senior Associate Trial Attorney. You’ll independently manage complex, high-exposure matters and serve as lead counsel or co-counsel on contested cases as appropriate. The firm represents clients in insurance defense, personal injury, construction defect, employment, and business disputes.

What You’ll Do

• Manage complex civil litigation matters from intake through resolution or trial

• Develop and execute case strategy across discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts

• Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions

• Handle court appearances, case management conferences, mediations, and arbitrations

• Prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial testimony

• Lead or participate in trial preparation and serve as trial counsel or co-counsel

• Negotiate settlements and work on resolution strategy with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel

What You Bring

• 10–15 years of civil litigation experience

• Substantial experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or complex civil litigation

• First-chair or significant second-chair trial experience (strongly preferred)

• A record of managing complex matters from inception through trial or resolution

• Strong research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of $200,000–$300,000, based on experience and qualifications

• Quarterly performance-based bonus eligibility

Location & Work Schedule

• Three days per week in the office, with the opportunity for two remote days, subject to client and practice needs
