Class Action Attorney - Employment Law

Our client is a fast-growing plaintiff-side employment firm in Downtown Los Angeles. Its support team handles the administrative work, so you get to do what you went to law school for. The firm is hiring a Class Action Attorney for its wage and hour department. This firm has grown fast since its launch and has moved into larger space more than once to keep up with its caseload. It represents workers against regional, national, and Fortune 500 employers across multiple industries, in both state and federal court. Leadership puts real weight on attorney growth and happiness. There’s no micromanaging and no one barking orders, just a team of people who like what they do and who they do it with.

Responsibilities:

• Litigate wage and hour class actions and PAGA cases: unpaid overtime, meal and rest break violations, unreimbursed business expenses, and more

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Take and defend depositions

• Appear in state and federal court on behalf of your clients

• Manage your own caseload with guidance from senior attorneys

• Build experience against some of the largest employers in the country

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing

• 2–5 years of employment law experience, with a focus on wage and hour class action or PAGA strongly preferred

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

• The ability to manage a caseload independently and hit deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and organization

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $125,000–$200,000, depending on experience
