Case Manager
A dynamic plaintiff personal injury, mass tort, and premises liability firm in Sherman Oaks is seeking a Case Manager. Due to heavy case volume, this role provides critical, hands-on support across all phases of pre-litigation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ideal Candidate:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the life cycle of their case.
Provide case updates, answer client inquiries, and maintain ongoing client engagement and satisfaction.
Manage case files, including intake, document collections, medical records, discovery responses, and case deadlines.
Monitor case progress and maintain detailed notes in the case management system.
Schedule appointments, depositions, mediations, and court dates as needed.
Track all case costs.
Coordinate the assignment of tasks.
Ensuring accurate & timely completion of tasks.
Communicate team performance with the supervisory attorney.
Ensure all case-related documents are accurately & effectively saved.
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files.
Prepare and draft case-related documents, including email correspondence, letters, and memorandums.
Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting summaries, timelines, and exhibits.
Maintain regular communication with medical providers, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and co-counsel as needed.
Requirements:
3+ years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience, including at least 1 year specifically managing Mass Torts / Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) cases.
Procedural knowledge, including client intake, drafting and submitting Plaintiff Fact Sheets (PFS), handling deficiency cures, and census tracking.
Proficiency in medical record reviews and complex lien resolution processes (including Medicare, Medi-Cal/DHCS, ERISA, and private health plans).
Hands-on mastery of Legal Case Management Systems (e.g., Filevine, Litify, Needles, or Cloudlex) and advanced Excel matrix tracking.
Working knowledge of California civil procedure and Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) local rules, filing standards, and deadlines.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish with exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate compassionately with high-volume, injured client populations.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Compensation Range: $35 - $45 hr.
