Business Litigation Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a global law firm with a stated focus on technology, energy, and infrastructure. We are seeking a mid-level business litigation attorney to join its New York Office. The firm's business litigation practice represents a wide range of companies and individuals in federal and state court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. The practice has grown alongside the firm's expanding focus on the technology, energy and infrastructure, and financial services sectors, and the associate hired into this role will work on complex, high-stakes disputes arising from those industries

Key Responsibilities

• Manage substantial components of large, sophisticated business litigation matters from pleadings through trial and appeal

• Draft dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive court filings

• Take and defend depositions and manage discovery strategy

• Work directly with partners and senior associates on collaborative case teams at the local and national level

• Maintain direct client contact and contribute to case strategy

• Support matters in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution venues

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of complex business litigation experience

• Minimum of one year of litigation experience at a law firm

• New York bar admission (required)

• Excellent academic credentials

• Superb written and oral advocacy skills

• Experience managing large and sophisticated litigation matters

• Judicial clerkship experience a plus, but not required

• Cover letter, law school transcripts, references, and a brief writing sample will be requested if considered for next steps

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $260,000 – $365,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience
