Career Consulting Partners is proud to represent a civil litigation law firm based in Venice, CA. This is not a “mill” or high-volume personal injury shop. The firm deliberately takes on a select number of cases, focusing on quality over quantity, so that every client receives the time, care, and legal expertise they deserve.

We are seeking a driven Civil Litigation Attorney with a foundation in personal injury litigation and a genuine interest in tenant rights and premises liability. This is an outstanding opportunity for a newer attorney ready to grow quickly, as well as for a more experienced litigator who wants real ownership of their work. The partners invest in their associates: you’ll be given meaningful responsibility early, direct access to senior attorneys, and the runway to develop into a confident, self-directed litigator.

The attorneys who thrive here share one trait: initiative. Rather than waiting to be handed the next assignment, our most successful associates take a task to completion, anticipate the next step, and move it forward on their own before bringing it to the partners for final review.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 25–35 active cases

• Take ownership of your matters end-to-end

• Move tasks forward proactively and independently, then bring them to the partners for final review.

• Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions.

• Develop litigation strategies, conduct risk assessments, and provide thoughtful client counseling.

• Drive trial preparation, including trial briefs, witness examinations, jury instructions, and courtroom advocacy.

• Collaborate with colleagues on complex and high-value cases.

• Contribute to the growth of the firm by sharing knowledge, mentoring when appropriate, and improving processes.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of CA Civil Litigation experience in one of personal injury litigation, tenant rights, or premises liability

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• A self-starter mindset

• Someone who takes initiative, manages their work independently, and knows when to loop in the partners.

• Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

• Defense-side experience (e.g., insurance defense) is considered a strong asset.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000

• Plus commission/attorney fee structure
