Mid-Senior Level Attorney (5-10 yr)

Career Consulting Partners is proud to partner with a trial-ready boutique firm that specializes in representing employees in complex labor and employment disputes, including FEHA, PAGA, and Wage & Hour claims. We are currently seeking a 5 - 10 yr Attorney to serve as a critical second layer of leadership within our firm. This role is specifically designed to fill a leadership void, providing a highly visible and accelerated path for the right candidate.

Our internal structure features a talented team of 2–3 year associates and a seasoned partner group. We have identified a strategic gap between these two tiers and are looking for a "middle layer" leader to bridge it. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who wants more than just a caseload and demand letters; it is a mandate to mentor the next generation of litigators and act as a strategic right hand to the partners.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a high-value caseload of employment matters from inception through trial/arbitration.

• Act as lead or second-chair counsel in trials, hearings, and arbitrations.

• Maintain the firm’s "Trial-Ready" standard at every stage of discovery and motion practice.

• Provide direct supervision and professional development for our team of 2–3-year associates, ensuring work product meets the highest standards.

• Collaborate directly with partners on firm-wide strategy, resource allocation, and practice group growth.

• Take and defend key depositions (PMQ/PMK, individual, and expert) and argue high-stakes motions in State and Federal courts.

Requirements:

• 5–10+ years of litigation experience in California Labor & Employment law.

• (Note: We are actively open to defense-side attorneys looking to transition their skill set to the plaintiff side.)

• You don’t just "litigate", you prepare to win, but no one criticizes you for losing the trial.

• You understand how discovery today impacts the jury's perception tomorrow.

• You enjoy teaching and are looking for a role where your management and mentorship are as valued as your legal acumen.

• You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced "war room" environment and are committed to being on-site in our DTLA office.

• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00+ (D.O.E.)
