Career Consulting Partners is representing a well-established boutique firm where your expertise actually moves the needle. We are looking for a Senior Labor & Employment Attorney who views litigation as just one part of a broader client partnership. In this role, you will lead the charge on complex Wage & Hour and PAGA litigation while serving as a trusted counselor to diverse businesses.

You will manage your own files independently, but you’ll have the backing of a collaborative team that values collective strategy over internal competition. Responsibilities Include:
Manage all phases of employment litigation matters, including initial intake, case assessment, discovery, and final resolution.
Lead the defense of high-stakes Wage & Hour class actions and PAGA claims, as well as single-plaintiff harassment, discrimination, and retaliation suits.
Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions for summary judgment, demurrers, and class certification oppositions.
Represent clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
Act as a "real-time" advisor to business owners and HR leaders on urgent workplace issues (terminations, leaves of absence, and employee discipline).
Perform comprehensive audits of client policies and handbooks to ensure compliance with California’s ever-changing labor laws.
Conduct or oversee workplace investigations regarding employee complaints and compliance concerns.
Collaborate with the firm’s partners to develop innovative legal theories and tech-driven approaches to litigation.
Provide guidance and professional development support to junior associates and legal staff.
Utilize AI and legal technology to increase efficiency in document review, research, and case organization.
Qualifications:
Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
7-15 years of dedicated employment law experience (defense side preferred).
Proven track record of independently managing cases, with specific experience in Wage & Hour or PAGA litigation.
Exceptional ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable advice for clients.
A forward-thinking mindset with an interest in utilizing technology to optimize legal workflows.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation Range: $190,000 - $270,000 +
Bonus for exceeding billables
Additional discretionary bonus
