Senior Elder Abuse Attorney

Career Consulting Partners is partnered with a leading plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Century City, which has seen tremendous growth in the last 18 months. We are assisting them with a key leadership hire in the form of a Senior Elder Abuse Attorney. The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigator with a strong background in plaintiff-side Elder Abuse cases and significant first-chair or second-chair trial experience. You will be stepping into a critical role where your expertise will not only drive results in high-stakes litigation but also help guide and elevate our legal team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a high-value caseload of plaintiff elder abuse and neglect cases from inception through trial.

• Conduct all phases of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions.

• Lead trial preparation and serve as lead or co-counsel in jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to junior attorneys and support staff.

• Negotiate maximum settlements on behalf of vulnerable clients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, preferably with elder abuse, medical negligence, or personal injury

• Strong litigation background with the confidence to independently handle matters from inception through trial

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented work environment

• Willingness and ability to travel throughout California for hearings, depositions, trials, and arbitrations

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 + Bonus structure based on a percentage of each settled case
