Business Development Manager
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a creative, fast-growing video production company specializing in high-quality business videos and podcasts. Our clients' studio space is also available for rental, serving as a community hub for local entrepreneurs, creators, and professionals who want to elevate their brands through visual storytelling.
Due to the company's growth, we are looking for a Business Development & Community Relations Manager to build relationships, increase visibility in the community, and generate new leads while representing our brand at local events.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role perfect for someone who enjoys networking and making meaningful community connections. You’ll represent our client's company at Chamber of Commerce meetings, BNI gatherings, mixers, and other local business events, helping us share our story, promote our services, and create new business opportunities. You won’t be expected to close deals; your focus is to connect, represent, and generate interest. Once a relationship is established, the owner will take the lead in turning that connection into a client.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend local networking events, business mixers, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and BNI gatherings on behalf of the company.
- Build relationships with local business owners, organizations, and community leaders.
- Share information about our video production and podcast services and identify potential leads.
- Track networking activities, contacts, and lead opportunities.
- Collaborate with the owner on outreach strategies, target markets, and event planning.
- Represent the company with enthusiasm and professionalism at all times.
- Reliable commute to Redlands, Palm Springs, Yucaipa, Riverside, Calimesa, Beaumont, San Jacinto, Upland, and surrounding cities, as this area will be the main focus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outgoing, friendly, and confident in social and professional settings.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and self-motivated with a professional presence.
- Experience in sales, business development, or marketing
- Interest or background in creative industries, media, or marketing is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to attend events across Riverside County.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow client or community relationships over time.
- A minimum of 12–18 months in a customer service, business development, or client-facing role is preferred, as relationship-building requires consistency and follow-through.
- This role rewards consistency and long-term relationship-building. Candidates with a history of staying engaged in roles long enough will be strongly considered.

WORK SCHEDULE COMMITMENT:
- This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule based on community events, networking meetings, and outreach activities.
- The 20-hour commitment will typically include:
- Attending business mixers, Chamber of Commerce, or BNI meetings (usually 1–2 hours per event)
- Conducting one-on-one follow-up meetings (in person or via Zoom)
- Time spent driving to and from events and meetings
- Time spent in our studio or with the owner for planning and strategy
- Time spent on 1 on 1 Zoom Conference Calls
