We are seeking an experienced Employment Attorney with at least 2 - 4 years of employment law experience. A background in class action litigation is a strong plus, though not required. The ideal candidate is someone who values mentorship, quality over quantity, and a thoughtful approach to legal work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a caseload of employment litigation matters, including claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage & hour, and class/PAGA actions
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
- Provide strategic counsel to clients by evaluating available options and formulating effective courses of action
- Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client communication
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in employment law litigation
- Class action and/or PAGA experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record of handling cases from inception through trial
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Interest in mentoring and contributing to firm culture
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:
- Compensation: $145,000 - $185,000
