Career Consulting Partners has partnered with the biggest firm in Pasadena, CA with over 30 attorneys. This is a very collegial and collaborative team environment. We seek an associate attorney with 3 -6 years of Trust & Estates Administration experience. You will be responsible for the full oversight of all assigned client cases, including case research, client relationship management, diligent counsel, intra-firm coordination, and case outcomes. We would like to reiterate that this is a non-litigation position.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation in trust and estate administration, including probate matters, trust distribution, and asset management.
- Draft, review, and revise wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents to meet client needs and ensure compliance with California laws.
- Manage all aspects of estate administration, including court filings, preparing accountings, and handling beneficiary communications.
- Advise clients on tax implications related to estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.
- Collaborate with financial planners, accountants, and other professionals to provide clients with a holistic approach to estate planning and administration.
- Represent clients in probate court, including contested matters, and handle any litigation related to trust and estate issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in estate and trust law, particularly as it pertains to California.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
- 3-6 years of experience in trust and estate administration, with significant experience in California law.
- Proven ability to manage complex estate planning and administration cases.
- Strong understanding of California Probate Code and relevant tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Experience with high-net-worth clients and complex estate matters.
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus.

COMPENSATION:
- Base Salary Compensation: $150,000 - $215,000
- Quarterly Bonus: 10%, 15%, or 20% of annual salary dependent on combines
billable and non-billable hourly performance. - Collection & Introduction Commissions: 5 % collections commissions as well
as 15% introductions commissions - Annual Year-End Discretionary Bonus
