Associate Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a private firm specializing in real estate, business and commercial law, construction, employment, and partnership/shareholder matters. We are currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with 1 to 5 years of experience to join our growing team. You’ll work on complex, high-value litigation matters, often involving six and seven-dollar disputes in real estate, business, and commercial law. Our cases are often factually and legally intricate, providing a challenging and rewarding environment for attorneys who want to sharpen their litigation skills and take ownership of significant matters early in their careers. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a self-driven attorney seeking to grow their practice in a collaborative environment, with exposure to diverse practice areas and direct, meaningful client engagement.

DUTIES:

• Handle all aspects of complex, high-exposure litigation, including case evaluation, strategy, discovery, law and motion, depositions, and trial preparation
• Manage real estate disputes, including matters involving purchase/sale agreements, lease disputes, construction defects, zoning, and property ownership.
• Assist with commercial litigation, including breach of contract, partnership and shareholder disputes, and construction matters.
• Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, and motions.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, and mediations.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Support senior attorney and manage junior matters independently as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
• 1–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in real estate, business, or commercial litigation.
• Must be a driven team player with excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills, possess a strong academic background, and exceptional research skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation matters with minimal handholding
• Courtroom experience is a plus.
• Transactional experience (e.g., contract drafting, entity formation) is a bonus
• The firm expects associates to bill 1800 billable hours annually.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Medical & Profit Sharing PlanPaid Time Off & Paid Holidays
• Compensation: $130,000 - $190,000
• Plus performance commission/bonuses
