We are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our growing firm.
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Legal Secretary with a strong background in supporting attorneys in real estate, business litigation, and professional liability defense. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with federal, state, and appellate court filings, e-filing, and calendaring, along with top-tier administrative and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and file legal documents in compliance with federal, state, and appellate court rules
- Handle e-filing across multiple court systems
- Maintain attorney calendars and deadlines with precision
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, including Tables of Contents and Authorities
- Manage correspondence, scheduling, and document organization using iManage or a similar document management system
- Support attorneys with transactional real estate matters as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive litigation experience supporting attorneys in real estate, business litigation, or professional liability defense
- Knowledge of court filing procedures at all levels
Strong proofreading, writing, and attention to detail skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Word (2010+), Outlook, and document management systems
- Experience with CompuLaw, Best Authority, Adobe Pro, and CCC Macros is a plus
- Highly organized, proactive, and deadline-driven
