Associate Attorney (Health Care)

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a globally renowned law firm with over 500 attorneys and 1,000 employees. We are assisting them in their search for a Junior Associate for the Health Care and General Privacy Counseling group. You will advise clients on a wide range of privacy matters, including developing privacy policies and procedures, drafting consent forms and notifications, and providing general privacy counseling. The ideal candidate will contribute to the firm’s ongoing success in serving leading technology and life sciences companies across diverse sectors.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in health care privacy and privacy law in general.
• Understanding of health information privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, CMIA, state laws like the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370).
• Familiarity with consumer privacy laws such as the CCPA, GLBA, FCRA, COPPA, and the FTC Act.
• Knowledge of international privacy laws, including the EU’s GDPR.
• Experience with general technology and data flow issues.
• Experience drafting privacy policies, negotiating privacy-related contracts, and conducting privacy compliance assessments.
• Exposure to AdTech is a plus, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Top law school credentials with excellent academic performance.
• Active CA BAR membership or eligibility to waive in.
• Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary: $230,000 - $300,000
• Healthcare, Life Insurance, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Wellbeing
• A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance
