Senior Accountant

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with an established firm with offices in five major commercial centers across the state of California. For over 70 years, they have kept pace with California’s growth, and with more than 100 attorneys, they have the resources and experience to offer the highest quality representation in a wide variety of legal matters. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Los Angeles office. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Partner with the Director of Finance to oversee daily bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of trust receipts, disbursements, and financial reports.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams to ensure efficient and seamless accounting operations.
• Process accounts payable transactions, including client invoice data entry, check requests, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
• Manage high-volume vendor invoice tracking, processing, and follow-ups with professionals, clients, and vendors.
• Apply GAAP principles, including month-end close procedures and reconciliations.
• Support firm-wide initiatives and assist the Director of Finance in implementing process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6+ years of relevant AP/accounting experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Associate’s degree in a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and disbursement processes.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
