Career Consulting Partners is excited to collaborate with a dynamic, mid-sized law firm headquartered in Northern California with offices throughout Northern and Southern California. We specialize in estate planning, trust administration, tax planning, business law, and elder law matters. Our team is dedicated to providing clients with ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate legal services. We are seeking a paralegal with 3 - 5 years of experience in Trust Administration.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Analyze trust provisions and prepare the “Trust Administration Attorney Summary.”
- Provide an Instruction Letter on the Trust Administration process.
- Prepare and manage Trust Administration documents, including Authorization to Release Information, Certification of Trust, and statutory notifications.
- Handle real property transfers, affidavits, grant deeds, and assessor forms.
- Assist with Proposition 19 calculations and work with bridge loan officers on documentation.
- Manage estate valuation, title reports, date-of-death inventory, and asset allocation.
- Establish sub-trusts and prepare related documents.
- Prepare trust distribution summaries, tax returns (Forms 706 & 709), and accountings.
- Support probate matters, including drafting and filing court documents, reviewing probate notes, and obtaining certified orders.
- Assemble Trust Administration Legacy Binder and draft closing letters.
- Maintain CA Notary Public status and complete Continuing Legal Education.
- Assess assets for referral to Ascent Wealth Management.
- Organize and maintain client files, scan documents, and enter time in Abacus.
- Review Prebills and update client information in Lawcus.
- Attend staff meetings and coordinate with support staff.
- Provide backup phone support and assist with additional projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and related tax matters.
- Strong understanding of California estate planning laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary: $35.00 - $50.00 Hr.
