Director of Billing & Collections 

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a globally renowned law firm with over 500 attorneys and 1000 employees. We are assisting them in their search for a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist. You will manage invoices, expense reports, credit card statements, payments, reconciliations, and inquiries. The role involves collaborating with the Finance team, departments, and vendors to resolve issues and meet deadlines.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Oversee client/matter financial setup, billing, collections, trust, and cash application functions.
• Optimize billing, collections, and cash application processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor Client Accounting managers, fostering professional growth and a positive work environment.
• Partner with firm leadership to drive practice-specific billing and collections initiatives.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and improve processes.
• Develop and enhance internal reporting tools for better financial insights.
• Implement collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and maximize cash flow.
• Ensure timely month-end close processes and reporting.
• Maintain and update billing, collection, and cash application policies.
• Provide training and support for partners, attorneys, and staff on billing and collections.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve billing issues and enhance client satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Strong knowledge of legal billing, client agreements, and billing software.
• Proven leadership with the ability to build trust and develop teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication to foster collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
• Customer service-oriented with a focus on user support.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and change management.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary: $180,000 - $270,000
• Healthcare, Life Insurance, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Wellbeing
• A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance

• Santa Monica, CA (Hybrid)
