This esteemed firm specializes in a broad spectrum of legal services, including business, real estate, tax law, estate planning, probate, and employment law. Through carefully planned mergers, they have expanded their practice to include intellectual property and financial services, now proudly employing over 50 attorneys. We are in search of an attorney with a focus on Employment Defense.


IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Will represent clients in employment defense matters.
  • Draft and respond to PAGA-related motions, including motions to dismiss, demurrers, and motions for summary judgment.
  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, including wage and hour laws, employee classifications, and employment policies.
  • Manage all aspects of employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and preparing for trial.
  • Handle complex employment disputes, including class action defense, individual employment claims, and PAGA lawsuits.
  • Conduct depositions, interviews, and investigations related to PAGA claims and other employment law matters.
  • Counsel clients on minimizing legal risks and mitigating exposure in PAGA cases and other employment-related litigation.
  • Represent clients in settlement negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
  • Keep clients informed on case progress, strategy, and potential outcomes, offering practical legal solutions to resolve disputes.
  • Research and analyze employment law statutes, regulations, and case law related to PAGA and employment defense.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and other workplace documents for compliance with California labor laws.
  • Stay current on legal developments in California employment law, particularly PAGA-related cases and trends.
  • Assist in the development of legal strategies to effectively defend against claims under the California Labor Code and other state-specific employment laws.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience with a focus on Employment Defense. 
  • Proven track record of managing litigation matters, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court and at depositions.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in client interactions and representation.
  • Experience defending against Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims in California.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Salary: $125,000 - $190,000
